RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE LOUISIANA SCRATCH TOUR
REGULAR, SENIOR & SUPER SENIOR DIVISIONS
RULES OF PLAY:
We will play by the USGA’s Rules and Regulations (The one ball rule does not apply).
We will adhere to the rules and regulations of the host clubs we visit. We are their guests and appreciate them allowing us to play at their Golf Courses.
Pace of Play: We will adhere to the standard pace of play rule. This rule will be posted at the first tee at all of our tournament sites.
To help pace of play we will allow range finders for the 2005 season.
CARTS:
We will use carts in our tournaments to help the speed of play. Players must place their bag on the carts provided for the group. The carts are for players only. Spectators must either walk or arrange with the golf course pro shop to secure an additional cart for their use.
Exception: If a group is a threesome and there is an empty seat in a cart we will deem this seat open and a spectator may use this seat.
DRESS:
We will adhere to the dress codes of the golf courses we visit. Basically this means no blue jeans and no T-shirts.
We will be a spikeless or soft spikes tour.
SCORING:
You are responsible to turn your scorecard in (with signature's) to the scorer's table after your round. If you wish to WD (with draw) or NC (no card) you still must turn a card in. We ask that you do this to assist us in pairings for the next day and for the point's system. Also, rounds played in LST tournaments are eligible for handicap purposes and ratings should be from the championship tees.
A player wishing to withdraw from the second round of a tournament must notify the tournament committee prior to pairings being made for the second round. Failure to do so will result in the player being suspended for the next tournament.
TOURNAMENT COMPLETION POLICY:
It will take a minimum of 18 holes to have a completed tournament. If we complete 9 holes by the entire field on either Saturday or Sunday we will count that score. If we complete 18 holes one day and only 9 holes on another day by the entire field we will have a 27 hole tournament. If we only complete 9 holes a day by the entire field we will have an 18 hole tournament.
